Surgeon discribed the whole procedure, where incisions will be made, and the recovery period and what you can and can't do exactly to the point. No questions or problems. Well taken care of.

At the first meeting he clearly explained the operation, drew diagrams and I finally understood the need for such a big operation as opposed to just removing the tumour. He was very positive even when discussing possible problems. On the day he was reassuring and then saw me regularly on the ward. He treated me as an intelligent equal! I feel I was very lucky to have had such a considerate and obviously competent surgeon

Mr Janakan has been in contact with me from pre op to post op. He explained my op very well and what would happen, including any risks, as doctors must do these days. My own risk was low, compared with not having the op and so I went ahead. Post op and Mr Janakan has visited most days. His ‘bedside manner’ is great and he has been able to explain any questions.
